Shiba Inu Price: 153 Billion SHIB Flow Back to Exchanges as the $0.0000045 Zone Holds

Analysis: Shiba Inu trades at $0.00000473 on Wednesday evening after a net 153 billion SHIB flowed back onto exchanges. The zone around $0.0000045 has passed its second test, and three moving averages are waiting above the price.

Shiba Inu trades at $0.00000473 on Kraken on Wednesday evening, November 4, 2026, roughly €0.00000422. That is 2.2 percent more than at the start of the day. What is documented: after a week with the heaviest withdrawals of the year, more SHIB are again flowing onto trading venues than are being pulled from them. Our assessment follows further down: as long as the price stays above the zone around $0.0000045, the inflow is more a sign of returning trading than of selling pressure that tips the price.

The situation in figures: the daily high was $0.00000485 and the daily low $0.00000447. In the SHIB/US dollar pair on Kraken alone, almost 83 billion tokens changed hands by the evening, more than on any of the three previous days. If you hold SHIB or are considering buying, you will find here the levels below and above the price, the mechanics behind exchange inflows and the points investors in Germany can sort out now: the one-year rule, leverage and custody.

Shiba Inu price on Wednesday evening: up 2.2 percent, Bitcoin up 3.6 percent

Wednesday belonged to the broader market. After the result of the US midterm elections, Bitcoin jumped above $80,000. On Kraken, the largest cryptocurrency rose from $77,332 at the start of the day to a little over $80,100, a gain of 3.6 percent. Shiba Inu followed, but at a slower pace: $0.00000463 at the open, $0.00000473 in the evening. Dogecoin, the second large meme coin, also gained only 2.2 percent.

This pattern is not new. In phases when large addresses and funds buy Bitcoin first after a macro event, meme tokens follow at a distance. Their price depends more heavily on retail sentiment and on turnover at a few large exchanges. For the SHIB price, that means the tailwind is there, but it only arrives once turnover in meme coins picks up as well.

A year back: SHIB costs less than half

The annual series puts the daily gain into perspective. On November 4, 2025, SHIB closed at $0.00000886 on Kraken; today it is 46.6 percent lower. The high of the past twelve months dates from December 6, 2025, at $0.00001049, and the low from June 25, 2026, at $0.00000405. The current price is therefore closer to the yearly low than to the middle of the range.

Since election day: SHIB is 4.4 percent higher than on November 3

On Tuesday morning we assessed the Shiba Inu price on US election day at $0.00000453, 10.7 percent above the yearly low. Three things have changed since then. First, the price is 4.4 percent higher, and the distance to the yearly low has grown to almost 17 percent. Second, the support we drew at $0.00000446 at the time has passed its test: Wednesday’s daily low was $0.00000447, almost exactly on that line, before the price turned. Third, the exchange balance has moved, which only yesterday was considered a quiet background factor. Outflows have turned into an inflow.

What has stayed the same: SHIB is still trading below all three moving averages we track. Wednesday’s recovery is therefore a first step, not a trend reversal. A reader who noted the $0.00000446 level yesterday as the limit for a stop can see today that it held, but also how close it was.

Exchange inflows of 153 billion SHIB: the figures behind the shift

The trigger for looking at the balance is an analysis by U.Today published at midday on Wednesday. According to the exchange data cited there, around 429 billion SHIB recently flowed onto trading venues, while around 276 billion were withdrawn. On a net basis, that leaves about 153 billion additional tokens on exchanges. According to the same analysis, this ends the longest outflow phase of the year, which peaked at about 220 billion SHIB within seven days.

To put the size into context: according to U.Today, the total balance on exchanges is around 85 trillion SHIB, worth about $400 million at the current price. The net inflow accounts for just under 0.2 percent of that and, at the evening price, a value of around $720,000. That is not a package that moves the market on its own. But it is a change of direction after days in which tokens were almost exclusively withdrawn.

The background: the Binance attack and the withdrawal halt

The wave of outflows had a specific cause. After the attack on Binance at the end of October, withdrawals were suspended, and many holders pulled their tokens as soon as it was possible again. According to blockchain data, the attacker himself sold 499.9 billion SHIB in 13 transfers on October 30; why the price barely felt it is something we traced on Tuesday evening. Since Binance re-enabled SHIB withdrawals, traffic between wallets and exchanges has been normalising. Wednesday’s inflow fits this picture: tokens are returning because trading has resumed.

Exchange inflows are deliveries to the trading venue: what arrives there can be sold, but does not have to be.

How exchange inflows affect the SHIB price

An exchange inflow is a transfer of tokens from a private wallet to an address belonging to a trading platform. The common reading: anyone moving tokens onto an exchange wants to trade them there, and in a falling market trading usually means selling. Outflows, conversely, are seen as a sign that holders are taking their tokens into their own custody and do not want to sell for the time being.

This reading has two weaknesses that matter right now. First, tokens also flow onto exchanges to post collateral for futures contracts, or simply to return to a familiar provider after a freeze. Second, data services only capture addresses they can reliably attribute to an exchange. An inflow of 153 billion SHIB is therefore an indication, not a sell order. It only becomes a burden on the price if the price gives way at an important level while turnover rises at the same time.

On Wednesday it was the other way round: turnover rose, and so did the price. Inflow and price gain together point more to traders returning to the exchanges after days of silence.

The zone around $0.0000045: tested twice in six days

The most important support lies directly below the price. On October 30, the day of the attacker’s sale, SHIB fell to $0.00000446 on Kraken and then closed at $0.00000480. On Wednesday, six days later, the low of $0.00000447 was almost exactly in the same place, down to the hundred-millionth of a dollar. Two tests of a level in quick succession, both followed by a recovery on the same day, make it the line at which buyers have reliably stepped in so far.

From the evening price, the zone around $0.0000045 is 4.8 percent away. For a meme token that swings 8 percent between high and low in a single day, that is not much. If the level breaks, the next documented support is only at the yearly low of June 25 at $0.00000405, 14.4 percent below the current price.

Resistance between $0.0000050 and $0.0000052 and the moving averages

On the upside, things get tight between $0.0000050 and $0.0000052, a zone the U.Today analysis also names as resistance. SHIB traded here from October 19 to 21, before the downward move set in until the end of October. From the evening price to $0.0000050 it is 5.7 percent.

Then there are the moving averages, calculated from daily closing prices on Kraken. A moving average is the mean of closing prices over a fixed number of days; it smooths out outliers and shows the direction of the trend.

  • 20-day line: $0.00000488, 3.1 percent above the price. This line is the first hurdle against which short-term traders judge whether the recovery is holding.
  • 200-day line: $0.00000516, in the middle of the resistance zone. Above it, SHIB would be back in the long-term uptrend range.
  • 50-day line: $0.00000530, 12 percent above the price; above it begins the range in which SHIB was still trading at the beginning of October.

The fact that the 50-day line is above the 200-day line is an echo of September, when SHIB was still trading at around $0.0000059. Today the price is below both.

Levels as a guiding light: the zone around $0.0000045 is the cliff below the SHIB price, the resistance zone the fog above it.

SHIB against Bitcoin after the midterms: the meme token is lagging

Measured against Bitcoin, Shiba Inu lost ground on Wednesday. Bitcoin gained 3.6 percent, SHIB 2.2 percent. On a monthly view, the gap is wider: on October 1, SHIB closed at $0.00000579, and it has lost 18.4 percent since then. For holders who see SHIB as a bet on a broad upswing, that is a warning sign. The rally in the overall market alone does not pull the token along.

A second starting point besides the chart is turnover. On election night and the following day, turnover in the SHIB/dollar pair on Kraken was 72 and 83 billion tokens, compared with only 26 to 39 billion the weekend before. Rising turnover with a rising price is the combination a recovery needs. If it holds until the weekend, the zone around $0.0000050 would be the market’s obvious next target, not a promise.

One-year holding period for SHIB bought in November 2025

For investors in Germany, today has a tax dimension. Anyone who bought SHIB on November 4, 2025, paid around $0.00000886 and is now sitting on a loss of about 47 percent. For tax purposes, cryptocurrencies are treated as private disposals under section 23 of the German Income Tax Act. If you sell within a year of buying, a gain is taxable, while a loss can be offset against other private disposal gains of the same year or carried forward. From the day after the one-year period ends, a sale is tax-free, but a loss can then no longer be used for tax purposes either.

For purchases from the first days of November 2025, the one-year period is therefore just expiring. If you have gains from other coins this year, you should calculate before selling whether a loss can still be offset. What matters is the exact purchase date of each lot; the tax authorities generally apply the FIFO method, meaning the order of purchases. A crypto tax tool shows you for each lot whether it falls inside or outside the period. These notes do not replace tax advice.

Leverage on SHIB: where long positions get liquidated

If you trade SHIB with leverage through futures contracts, you should take the zone around $0.0000045 doubly seriously. With ten times leverage, a move of around 10 percent against the position is enough for the exchange to close it forcibly, often even earlier after fees and safety margins. A long position opened at the evening price of $0.00000473 would thus be at risk at around $0.00000426, below the support but still above the yearly low.

If the price falls below a closely watched level, such forced closures trigger further sales and accelerate the move. That is precisely why an inflow onto exchanges is trickier in a market with many leveraged positions than in pure spot trading. If you buy without leverage, you can sit out such a move; if you trade with leverage, you cannot.

Buying and storing SHIB under MiCA

Since the German transition period ended at the end of 2025, providers that sell or hold crypto assets for customers in Germany need a licence under the EU’s MiCA regulation. Before buying, check whether your platform is listed in the register of the European Securities and Markets Authority, ESMA. Which providers these are and what they charge for SHIB is shown in our comparison of the best crypto exchanges.

Last week’s events have also brought the question of custody back. If you want to hold SHIB for longer, you can transfer the tokens from the exchange to a wallet of your own. A hardware wallet keeps the private keys offline, out of reach of an attack on an exchange. SHIB is a token on the Ethereum blockchain, so you need some Ether to pay the fee for the transfer.

Our view on the Shiba Inu price after the inflow

From the editorial team’s perspective, there is more to suggest reading Wednesday’s inflow as a return of trading rather than as the forerunner of a sell-off. The evidence: the price rose 2.2 percent on the same day, turnover on Kraken was above the previous days at 83 billion SHIB, and the zone around $0.0000045 passed its second test. It also fits that the withdrawal freeze at Binance has been lifted and tokens are moving back to the familiar provider.

Against this, SHIB is trading below all three moving averages and is following the Bitcoin upswing only hesitantly. At 0.2 percent of the exchange balance, the net inflow is small, and it can reverse within a few days. If the price falls below $0.0000045 while tokens keep flowing onto exchanges, the reading flips: the inflows would then be supply waiting for buyers. This is not a recommendation to buy or sell: with a meme token such as SHIB, a total loss is possible.

SHIB at $0.00000473: below $0.0000045 the reading flips

  1. Note the levels: support around $0.0000045, resistance between $0.0000050 and $0.0000052, and the 20-day line at $0.00000488 in between. A purchase through a MiCA-licensed provider from our exchange comparison can be combined with a price alert at these levels.
  2. Check the one-year period: if SHIB bought in November 2025 is in the red, the purchase date decides whether the loss still counts for tax. A tax tool calculates this for each lot.
  3. Sort out custody: if you hold SHIB for longer, transfer the tokens to a wallet of your own; the hardware wallet comparison shows which devices are suitable.
