Editorial Guidelines

CryptoTicker has been reporting on cryptocurrencies, blockchain technology and digital financial markets since 2017. This page explains the principles our content is built on, who is responsible for it and how we check it. It applies to all language editions (German, English, French, Spanish).

Who we are

CryptoTicker is published by Cryptoticker.io GmbH, Unter den Linden 24, 10117 Berlin, Germany, registered at the Charlottenburg district court under HRB 236931 B. Responsible for editorial content under § 18 (2) of the German Interstate Media Treaty (MStV) is Dennis Weidner. Full details are in our legal notice.

Editorial independence

Editorial content is created independently of commercial interests. Advertisers and partner companies have no influence on topic selection, ratings or wording. A business relationship neither earns a better rating nor protects anyone from criticism: in our comparisons, providers with an affiliate link sometimes rank last, because the score follows the editorial assessment alone.

Sources and evidence

• We name the source of any information we did not gather ourselves, and link it where possible.
• For prices, fees and product features the primary source governs: the provider's own disclosures, official registers, supervisory authorities or on-chain data.
• Figures that can change — prices, fees, terms — carry an as-of date. Where a value cannot be substantiated, we leave it blank instead of estimating.
• A single anonymous source is not enough. How we handle this is described under Ethics and Independence.

How an article is produced

1. Research against primary sources; at least two independent pieces of evidence where a claim is contested.
2. Writing by a named author. Every article carries a byline linking to an author profile.
3. Checking of figures, names, quotations and links before publication.
4. Maintenance: comparison pages and product data are reconciled with provider disclosures on a regular basis; material changes are marked in the article.

Use of artificial intelligence

We use AI tools as an aid — for research, data reconciliation, translation and first drafts. We do not publish text that has not been reviewed and taken responsibility for by a human being. Editorial responsibility always rests with the named person, never with a model. Translated editions are not carried over word for word but adapted to the respective market and reviewed by a subject-matter editor.

Ratings in comparisons

Scores in our comparisons and reviews are composed of transparent individual criteria (including cost, regulation, security features, usability and functionality). They are editorial decisions and are not awarded on the basis of whether a business relationship exists. If a provider changes its terms, we change the rating — in all language editions at once.
