In our overall rating Bitget leads with 4.9 against 4.3 for Binance.

On a €1,000 purchase you pay €14.50 less at Bitget.

For most investors Bitget is therefore the better choice.

BinanceOur Opinion

Binance is considered the world’s largest crypto exchange by trading volume and is valued for its low spreads in order book trading. With over 370 tradable cryptocurrencies, savings plans and staking, the platform offers a broad range of services. On the market since 2017, Binance has established itself as a major player in crypto trading.

For the German market, however, it should be noted that Binance does not have a BaFin license. The direct-buy fees of 1.75 % and total costs of 18.50 € per trade are occasionally criticized, as is the limited cost transparency for direct purchases. The minimum amount of 15 € is also higher than at some competitors.

Binance is seen especially as suitable for experienced traders who want to benefit from the low spreads in order book trading and for whom a missing BaFin license matters less than the platform’s global market presence and liquidity.

BitgetOur Opinion

Bitget is especially valued for its large selection of over 1080 cryptocurrencies and low spot fees starting at 0.1%. In addition, the copy trading and bot trading features are considered a standout offering, which is viewed particularly positively by active traders. Futures fees starting at 0.02% are among the lowest in the comparison.

However, it should be noted that Bitget does not have EU regulation or a BaFin license and is headquartered in the Seychelles. This aspect is seen by security-conscious investors as having room for improvement. The lack of a savings plan and the user interface with numerous popups after login are also occasionally criticized.

Bitget is considered especially suitable for experienced traders who prioritize a large coin selection, copy trading, and low trading fees, and are willing to do without EU regulation.
