You can buy Kaspa in Germany with euros at three exchanges: Bitvavo, Kraken and Bitpanda. All three operators appear in the register of the securities regulator ESMA with an authorisation under the European crypto regulation MiCA. On Wednesday, October 28, 2026, at 12:06 p.m., €100 bought 3,121.10 KAS in Kraken's order book and 3,120.90 KAS at Bitvavo, in both cases before fees. The difference of 0.20 KAS is less than a cent. The fee, by contrast, is noticeable: 25 cents as a taker at Bitvavo, €1.49 for an instant buy at Bitpanda.
Kaspa stood at €0.03211 at that moment, the equivalent of $0.03572, and with a market capitalisation of €0.89 billion it is number 62 at CoinMarketCap. Over 30 days the price has lost 25.1 percent. Where it could go from here is discussed in our Kaspa price prediction. This guide explains where you can get KAS and at what cost, and what to keep in mind after buying a coin that runs on its own blockchain.
Buying Kaspa in Germany: three exchanges with KAS against the euro
Of the eight exchanges in our price comparison, exactly three list a euro pair for Kaspa as of October 27, 2026. We measured that against the providers' public market listings. Kaspa is therefore listed far more thinly than Bitcoin or Litecoin, and that shapes the trading too: daily turnover across all venues came to $7 million, a fraction of the volumes of the large coins.
Since July 1, 2026, the MiCA regulation has applied without a transition period. In the register of authorised crypto service providers kept by ESMA, all three appear as of October 27, 2026:
- Bitvavo B.V., authorised by the Dutch regulator AFM on June 26, 2025.
- Payward Europe Solutions Limited and Payward Global Solutions Limited, the entities behind Kraken, authorised by the Central Bank of Ireland on June 25, 2025.
- Bitpanda GmbH, authorised by the Austrian regulator FMA on April 9, 2025.
You can find the complete register in ESMA's MiCA section. An overview of all authorised trading venues is in our comparison of the best crypto exchanges.
Bitvavo and Kraken in the order book: what €100 buys in KAS
At Bitpanda you buy Kaspa as an instant buy at a displayed price. That leaves Bitvavo and Kraken for the order book comparison, which we queried in the same minute:
| Exchange | Bid | Ask | Spread | KAS for €100 |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Bitvavo | €0.031997 | €0.032042 | 0.141% | 3,120.90 |
| Kraken | €0.03201 | €0.03204 | 0.094% | 3,121.10 |
The spread between the best bid and the best offer was wider for Kaspa than for the liquid coins, at 14 cents per €100 at Bitvavo and 9 cents at Kraken. For comparison: Litecoin came to 1.7 cents in the same minute at Bitvavo. How far a larger order moves the price we recalculated from the same order books. On a purchase of €1,000, the average price at Bitvavo was 0.006 percent above the best ask, and 0.016 percent at Kraken. At €5,000 it was 0.044 percent at Bitvavo and 0.090 percent at Kraken, so €2.21 and €4.52. Despite the modest daily turnover, the order book is therefore deep enough for retail investors.

Kaspa fees: taker, maker and instant buy
In the order book you buy either as a taker, accepting an existing offer, or as a maker, whose limit order waits. In an instant buy you accept a displayed price, and the spread is then built into that price. These published rates apply to KAS:
- Bitvavo: KAS/EUR sits in fee category A, 0.25 percent as a taker and 0.15 percent as a maker.
- Kraken: 0.80 percent as a taker and 0.40 percent as a maker in the order book, 1 percent for an instant buy according to the fee schedule.
- Bitpanda: 1.49 percent for crypto assets other than Bitcoin, according to the cost information document, version 3.0.0 of February 2, 2026.
After fees, €100 leaves you with 3,113.10 KAS at Bitvavo as a taker and 3,096.13 KAS in Kraken's order book. On €1,000 the fee costs €2.50 as a taker at Bitvavo, €8 in Kraken's order book and €14.90 for an instant buy at Bitpanda, plus the mark-up in the price there. A limit order pays off twice over with Kaspa: it cuts the fee to the maker rate and fixes the maximum price you pay.
Compare crypto exchanges and their feesWhat Kaspa is: its own blockchain with mining
Kaspa is an independent network with its own blockchain, secured like Bitcoin by mining under the proof-of-work method. Unlike Bitcoin, Kaspa does not arrange its blocks in a single row but in a directed graph, a so-called BlockDAG. That allows several blocks to be created in parallel, and transactions are confirmed within seconds. The project page and a wallet overview are at kaspa.org.
The total supply is capped. According to CoinMarketCap, 27.78 billion KAS are in circulation and the maximum supply is 28.70 billion, so just under 97 percent has already been issued. New KAS now only arise as a reward for miners, and that reward falls every month as scheduled.
Withdrawing KAS: cheap, but only to the Kaspa network
Because Kaspa is a network of its own, there is no choice of network on withdrawal as there is with tokens on Ethereum. Bitvavo pays out KAS exclusively via the Kaspa network and charges 9.2 KAS for it, around 30 cents at midday on Wednesday. The smallest withdrawal is 32 KAS, roughly one euro. Kaspa addresses begin with kaspa:, which rules out any mix-up with Ethereum or Bitcoin addresses.
The choice of wallet matters: it has to support Kaspa explicitly, because an Ethereum or Bitcoin wallet cannot receive KAS. For storage over a longer period a hardware wallet is worth it; which devices carry which networks and what they cost is set out in the hardware wallet comparison.

Minimum amount for Kaspa: 120 KAS at Kraken
In the KAS/EUR pair, Kraken requires at least 120 KAS, around €3.85 at the time of measurement. Bitvavo sets the limit at the equivalent of €5. At 30 cents, withdrawal is cheaper with Kaspa than with tokens on Ethereum, but on a purchase of €30 it still amounts to around one percent.
Find the right hardware walletKaspa and tax: what applies on a sale
A gain on the sale of KAS is taxable under section 23 of the German Income Tax Act if no more than one year lies between purchase and sale and all private disposal gains of the calendar year together reach €1,000; the entire gain then counts. After more than one year the sale is tax-free. Anyone mining Kaspa themselves is in a different position: depending on the scale, mining income can count as business income or as other income.
A draft bill from the German finance ministry dated September 30, 2026 provides for the one-year period to be scrapped for purchases from January 1, 2027. The cabinet had not adopted it as of October 27, 2026. We track the state of play in our report on the reform of the crypto holding period; what your sale would cost today is calculated by the CryptoTicker tax calculator. None of this replaces tax advice.
Buying Kaspa in three steps
- Pick one of the three exchanges. Bitvavo and Kraken with an order book, Bitpanda with an instant buy. The identity check when opening an account is required by anti-money-laundering law.
- Deposit euros and buy with a limit. A limit order just above the bid cuts the fee to the maker rate and caps the price.
- Prepare a Kaspa wallet. Before withdrawing, check that the wallet carries the Kaspa network; at Bitvavo the withdrawal costs 9.2 KAS.
What €1,000 turns into at each of the three exchanges, fees included, is shown by the price comparison following this guide.
