Solana Price Below $95: Record ETF Outflows and Whale Selling Push SOL to a 7-Month Low

$Solana is trading around $93 this morning, down more than 2% in 24 hours and about 19% over the past 30 days. It has now been below $100 for a week and sits under its 200-day moving average near $98. Live prices are on our crypto prices page.

Among the majors, $SOL is the clear underperformer of this crash. Here is why, and what has to happen for it to turn.

Why Is Solana Down Today?

  • Record ETF outflows: US spot Solana ETFs lost about $71 million in a single session, their largest daily exit since launch. Institutional money that drove the summer rally is now leaving.
  • Whales are dumping: on-chain trackers show several large wallets quietly moving SOL to exchanges over the past 48 hours. Unlike Ethereum, where whales are buying the dip, Solana's big holders are selling it.
  • The Binance exposure: SOL fell more than 5% on the night of the Binance hack, more than BTC or ETH, because the exchange holds a large share of SOL spot liquidity. Withdrawals on the Solana network were among those halted.
  • High beta, low patience: Solana is the market's favourite leverage play. When sentiment flips, it gets liquidated first and hardest.

Solana Price Analysis: Oversold but Not Bottomed

The RSI on the daily chart sits near 31, close to oversold. That usually produces a bounce, but a bounce is not a reversal. The structure stays bearish until SOL closes back above the 200-day line.

Bar chart: 90-day price change of the largest crypto assets
The largest crypto assets compared over 90 days, according to CoinMarketCap data
  • $92: the level SOL is testing right now
  • $85: the next support, from the September consolidation
  • $78: the deeper floor, roughly where the April low sits
  • $99 to $100: reclaiming this flips the short-term picture
  • $104 to $107: the next resistance band if the bounce holds

Solana Price Prediction: What Changes the Picture?

Two things. First, ETF flows need to stop bleeding; a single positive inflow day after a record outflow tends to mark a local bottom. Second, SOL needs to stop underperforming ETH. The ETH/SOL ratio has moved 5% in Ethereum's favour this week, which tells you where rotation is heading.

Is Solana a Good Buy at $93?

For a long-term holder, the $85 to $92 zone is where the risk/reward starts to make sense, especially with the network's uptime streak past 1,000 days and no fundamental breakdown. For a trader, there is no reason to catch this knife before a daily close above $100. Watch the ETF numbers tonight.
