Amp in November 2026: A collateral token for payments, and a price that has lost two thirds
Amp (AMP) is a token on Ethereum with a single job: it posts collateral for payments on the Flexa network. The data provider lists it under the categories Ethereum Ecosystem, Made in America, Binance Ecosystem and Alleged SEC Securities. On 1 November 2026 AMP trades at roughly $0.00070210 and, with a market capitalisation of about $63.03 million, ranks 311th among the largest crypto assets. It is a small asset with a function you can name precisely, and both belong in the same calculation.
What has changed in recent weeks
The price moved in two directions within one quarter. AMP opened September at $0.00044420, reached a monthly high of $0.00083481 on 26 September and closed at $0.00063214. October opened at that level, marked a high of $0.00095502 on 19 October and a low of $0.00056722 on 8 October, and closed at $0.00071778. Over seven days that leaves a loss of roughly 8.1 percent, over 30 days a gain of roughly 10.6 percent, over 60 days a gain of roughly 57.3 percent and over 90 days a gain of roughly 79.7 percent. The short horizon points down, the medium one clearly up.
Why this forecast is cautious
For 2026 the balance is a loss of roughly 67.2 percent: from the closing price of the first trading day of the year of $0.00214139 the price has fallen to about $0.00070210, and roughly 77 percent are missing to the twelve-month high of $0.00303590 set on 28 October 2025. Our scenarios start from the opening price of the year under our methodology, so the mean for 2026 sits practically on today’s price. Anyone placing AMP should not compare it with chains but with the assets addressing the same payment demand: XRP, Stellar and Litecoin.

What Amp is and how the collateral works
AMP is not a network and not a chain of its own. It is an ERC-20 token on Ethereum, contract address 0xff20817765cb7f73d4bde2e66e067e58d11095c2. Its function is narrowly defined: whoever secures a payment on the Flexa network places AMP into a pool. If the underlying transfer fails or confirms too slowly, that collateral covers the merchant. The collateral earns a share of the fees in return. The token is therefore not a means of payment but the insurance behind one.
The history of the asset, in numbers
The data provider has listed AMP since 8 September 2020, so for roughly 2,245 days. That is a material difference from a fresh launch: a price history across several market phases exists, and a forecast does not have to be extrapolated from a few weeks. About 89.78 billion AMP circulate out of a reported total of about 99.72 billion, so roughly 90 percent, against a fixed maximum of 100 billion. Market capitalisation stands at about $63.03 million, the fully diluted value at about $70.21 million. The gap between the two numbers is small, and that is the most comfortable property of this supply side: barely any quantity is still pending that could dilute the price independently of any usage.
The function: payments, and since July 2026 in Europe as well
The narrative rests on a product that exists rather than on an announcement. Flexa operates a payment network that takes crypto payments off the hands of merchants and institutions, and on 8 July 2026 it announced that it had started operations in Europe, with settlement across the Single Euro Payments Area and a European base in Warsaw. For AMP that is the most interesting point of the story, because a larger market for payments arithmetically means more demand for collateral. What is documented so far is the step, not the effect: the operator had published no figures on European payment volume as of the cut-off date, so we count none. The same demand is contested by XRP and Stellar.
The one number you can look up for AMP
Unlike many small assets, there is a published figure here that maps usage directly: the sum in the collateral pool. On 1 November 2026 the project page amp.xyz reports roughly $14.51 million as pooled and roughly $4.83 million as rewards issued to date. Measured against a market capitalisation of about $63.03 million, that is roughly 23 percent of the entire asset tied up as collateral. This ratio matters more for the forecast than any partner announcement, because it measures what the token is actually used for. We have no time series for this figure, so we can state the level but not the trend.
Where AMP is traded
We measured the distribution of daily turnover ourselves, across the trading pairs of the spot markets. We captured 77 spot pairs carrying roughly $34.35 million in 24 hours, of which about $34.21 million sat on centralised exchanges and only about $0.14 million in decentralised pools. AMP is therefore not DEX-heavy. Seven centralised exchanges each carry more than one million dollars: Binance with about $8.62 million, Binance TR with about $5.79 million, BtcTurk with about $3.70 million, SuperEx with about $3.15 million, BTCC with about $1.80 million, Biconomy.com with about $1.42 million and Coinbase Exchange with about $1.23 million. The largest single venue is thus one of the world’s largest exchanges, and Coinbase Exchange adds a supervised US venue alongside it.
And the caveat that goes with it
Two qualifications belong here. First the concentration: Binance and Binance TR together carry about $14.41 million, roughly 42 percent of our measurement, and they belong to the same house. Adding BtcTurk, roughly 52 percent of turnover sits in the Turkish trading environment. Second a discrepancy we disclose rather than smooth over: the data provider itself reports about $28.36 million of daily turnover for AMP, less than our sum across all spot pairs. The difference arises because our sum also includes venues the data provider leaves out of its own total. The smaller number is therefore the robust one, and what is robust above all is the listing on Binance and Coinbase Exchange.
