Bitget charges maker and taker fees for spot and futures trading. They fall with your 30-day trading volume, your balance or your BGB holdings. Paying fees in BGB saves 20%.
| Transaction | Cost at Bitget |
|---|---|
| Spot, VIP 0 | 0.1% maker, 0.1% taker |
| Spot, fee paid in BGB | 0.08% maker, 0.08% taker |
| Spot, highest VIP tier | 0% maker, 0.03% taker |
| Futures (USDT-M, Coin-M, USDC-M), VIP 0 | 0.02% maker, 0.06% taker |
| Futures, highest VIP tier | 0% maker, 0.02% taker |
| Crypto withdrawal | network fee per coin and network |
Example: Buying Bitcoin worth €1,000 against USDT costs €1.00 as a taker, €0.80 with BGB; buying and later selling costs €2.00 in total. How to save: place limit orders in the order book (maker) and pay the fee in BGB. Our crypto exchange comparison shows how Bitget compares with exchanges licensed in the EU.
Fees as of 24 October 2026 according to the Bitget fee schedule. Rates can differ by region and coin; the figure shown before you place the order applies.
Rabby is free, with no account and no subscription. For every transaction you pay the network's gas fee. For swaps and bridges in the app, Rabby states its fee in the help center, and it is already included in the quote shown.
| Action | Cost at Rabby |
|---|---|
| Download and use the wallet | free, no account |
| Send crypto | network gas fee |
| Swap in the app | 0.25% Rabby fee, included in the quote, plus gas |
| Swaps between the listed stablecoins or between ETH and the listed ETH DeFi tokens on the same chain | 0% Rabby fee (as of 21 July 2026), gas still applies |
| Bridge between networks | 0.25% Rabby fee, included in the quote, plus gas and bridge fees |
How to save: on a 1,000 euro swap, 2.50 euros go to Rabby, plus gas. Between listed stablecoins such as USDT and USDC on the same chain the Rabby fee disappears entirely. Because Rabby approves only the amount needed, you also save revoking later and the gas that costs. Larger purchases with euros go through an exchange from our exchange comparison.
Tax: in many countries a swap is a disposal and can be taxable. A tool from our crypto tax software comparison keeps the records.
More security: for larger holdings, connect Rabby to a device from our hardware wallet comparison. How Rabby compares with the best-known EVM wallet is covered in our MetaMask review, more wallets in our software wallet comparison.
As of 27 October 2026 according to the Rabby help center: supported networks and tokens (11 June 2026), Rabby Swap, 0% swap fee pairs (21 July 2026), supported hardware wallets, plus the source code on GitHub.

The five areas head to head
AI AnalysisFees & Costs
Users more often express criticism in the reviews when it comes to fees and costs. Users report that the fees are sometimes perceived as high. As a result, this cost area is described by some users as having room for improvement.
The wallet itself is free; transactions cost the network's gas fee. For swaps and bridges in the app Rabby charges 0.25%, already included in the quote. For the listed tokens this fee is waived on swaps between stablecoins such as USDT, USDC and USDe, and between ETH and ETH DeFi tokens such as WETH, stETH and wstETH on the same chain (as of 21 July 2026). As of October 2026.
Usability & User Experience
Users especially appreciate Bitget's intuitive app and its ease of use in everyday trading. According to reviews, the interface is often described as clear, although some users occasionally perceive it as confusing. The quick verification process and smooth trading workflows are also mentioned positively.
Rabby is above all a browser extension for Chrome, Brave and Edge, with desktop apps for macOS and Windows and mobile apps for iOS and Android. The biggest convenience: on the integrated networks Rabby switches to the network a dApp needs by itself, so you never add or switch networks by hand. Coming from MetaMask, you bring your existing wallet over in a few steps via seed phrase, private key or hardware wallet; your tokens, NFTs and staking positions stay unaffected. In the German App Store the mobile app is rated 3.6 out of 5 (229 ratings), on Google Play 4.7 (7,670 reviews, 500,000+ downloads), retrieved on 27 October 2026. As of October 2026.
Features & Offering
According to reviews, users particularly praise copy trading, as well as the wide range of promotions and events on the platform. Users report an overall broad offering that can be used well in everyday trading. Occasionally, users would like additional convenience features such as a landscape view on the iPad, the return of certain icons, or more offers for specific regions.
Rabby supports all EVM-compatible networks, 80+ of them natively integrated; you can add others as custom networks. On the integrated networks Rabby offers a portfolio view, shows before every transaction how your balance will change, warns about risky signatures and lets you manage and revoke smart-contract approvals right in the wallet. In the app you swap and bridge tokens, and perpetual contracts are integrated too. The extension supports eleven hardware wallets: Ledger, Trezor, GridPlus, OneKey, Keystone, NGRAVE ZERO, BitBox02, CoolWallet, AirGap Vault, imToken and imKey. The mobile app supports four: Ledger, Trezor, Keystone and OneKey. Rabby does not support Bitcoin, Solana or Tron. As of October 2026.
Stability & Security
In terms of stability and reliability, Bitget is repeatedly described by users as reliable. According to reviews, fast trades are also mentioned positively, suggesting mostly smooth everyday use. However, some users occasionally report delayed withdrawals, which means this area is not perceived uniformly.
Rabby comes from the team behind DeBank; the apps are published by Opcode Labs Pte. Ltd. in Singapore. The source code of the browser extension is open on GitHub, and the extension was audited by two security firms in 2025: SlowMist (report dated 21 August 2025) and Least Authority (report dated 3 September 2025). Rabby approves swaps only for the amount needed instead of unlimited, which reduces the risk from old approvals. As of October 2026.
Customer Support
The user data paints an overall critical picture of support. Users report room for improvement in response times and occasionally note that replies to inquiries do not arrive or that concerns are only handled with delays. According to reviews, support is also sometimes viewed critically in connection with registration, account matters, and withdrawals.
Help is available through the help center at support.rabby.io with guides on setup, moving from MetaMask, hardware wallets and security, plus Discord and a dedicated bug bounty contact for security reports. As of October 2026.

Verdict
In our overall rating Bitget leads with 4.9 against 4.1 for Rabby Wallet.
For most investors Bitget is therefore the better choice.
In short: Bitget is one of the large crypto exchanges for active traders: more than 1,000 coins, spot trading from 0.1%, futures from 0.02% for makers, plus copy trading and trading bots. It serves customers in many countries outside the EU and publishes a proof of reserves every month, most recently with 115% coverage. Whether you can open an account depends on where you live, so check the country section below first.
Is Bitget safe and legit?
Regulation: Bitget is operated by BTG Technology Holdings Limited. Its licence page lists a digital currency exchange registration with AUSTRAC in Australia, a crypto asset service provider licence from the FSCA in South Africa, registration with the CNV in Argentina, licences in El Salvador, Mauritius and Georgia, membership of a FINMA-recognised self-regulatory organisation in Switzerland, and in the UK promotions approved by an FCA-authorised firm under section 21 of FSMA. Australia's securities regulator ASIC confirms the AUSTRAC registration for exchange services and points out that Bitget holds no Australian financial services licence for its crypto futures (ASIC investor alert).
The hack of 24 September 2026: Through a flaw at a third-party software supplier, about $388 million left the exchange's wallets; Chainalysis attributes the attack to groups linked to North Korea. Bitget's protection fund covered the loss and customer balances stayed unchanged. From 28 September Bitget reopened withdrawals in stages; according to the exchange's public API, Bitcoin, Ether, USDT, XRP and Solana were withdrawable again on 24 October 2026. More in our reports Bitget after the hack and what existing customers should check.
Reserves and protection fund: Bitget has published a Merkle-tree proof of reserves every month since December 2022. The snapshot of 21 October 2026 shows total coverage of 115%: 113% for Bitcoin, 105% for USDT and 162% for Ether (Bitget proof of reserves). According to Bitget, the protection fund is back at $300 million (3,705 BTC). It is a voluntary reserve of the exchange, not a statutory deposit guarantee.
What you can do yourself: turn on two-factor authentication and a withdrawal address whitelist, and keep larger amounts in your own wallet, for example a hardware wallet.
Where can you use Bitget?
Bitget's Terms of Use (version of 20 October 2026) exclude residents of Afghanistan, Austria, Belarus, Canada, the Central African Republic, Cuba, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, France, Germany, Guinea-Bissau, Haiti, Hong Kong, Iran, Iraq, Japan, Kazakhstan, Lebanon, Libya, Malaysia, North Korea, Russia, Singapore, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, Thailand, the United States and its territories, Yemen and the Crimea, Luhansk, Donetsk, Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions. Using a VPN to get around this is not allowed.
In the EU every crypto exchange needs a licence under the MiCA regulation since 1 July 2026. Bitget has applied to Austria's Financial Market Authority and does not yet appear in the ESMA register (file of 22 October 2026), so it opens new EU accounts once that licence is granted. In India crypto service providers register with the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU-IND); Bitget said in July 2025 that it was in talks about registration. In the Philippines the SEC named Bitget in an advisory of 1 August 2025 on platforms without a local registration.
Bitget referral code and welcome bonus
The Bitget referral code is 94qs. If you open the sign-up page through the button on this page, the code is already filled in. On 25 October 2026 Bitget's sign-up page advertised welcome rewards of up to 6,200 USDT for new users; the tasks behind them, such as a first deposit or trading volume, and the amount you can actually earn depend on your country and are shown on Bitget's event page after sign-up.
Bitget copy trading
Copy trading mirrors the trades of other users, Bitget's “elite traders”, in your own account. Bitget offers it for futures, spot, trading bots and CFDs. For every elite trader the copy trading leaderboard shows the 30-day profit and loss, return, the profit of their copiers, the assets they manage and the maximum drawdown. The trader you follow passes on losses just as readily as gains, and futures copy trading uses leverage, so set a maximum amount per trader and a stop-loss before you start. Our Bitget copy trading guide walks through the settings.
Bitget Wallet and the exchange
Bitget Wallet is a separate self-custody app, not your exchange account: coins in the wallet do not sit on the exchange, and coins on the exchange are not in the wallet. The September attack hit the exchange's wallets, not the app. With the keyless setup one of two key shares sits on Bitget's server; what that means for you is explained in Bitget Wallet is not the exchange.
Who is Bitget for?
Bitget suits experienced traders who want futures, copy trading and a very large choice of coins and who live in a country where Bitget accepts customers, such as Australia. If you live in the EU, choose an exchange with a MiCA licence, such as Bybit EU (licensed by the FMA), OKX, Kraken or Bitvavo. Exchanges licensed in your region are listed in our comparison of regulated crypto exchanges.
Rabby is the best choice for anyone who regularly uses DeFi applications on Ethereum and the EVM networks. On the integrated networks, the simulation before every transaction shows in plain terms what it does to your balance, and with approvals and unknown contracts that is real protection. Automatic network switching makes everyday use across several layer-2 networks much smoother.
The scope is clear: Rabby is an EVM-only wallet. If you want to hold Bitcoin, Solana or Tron, you need a second wallet for them.
For swaps and bridges Rabby states its fee clearly: 0.25%, zero on the listed stablecoin and ETH pairs on the same chain. Switching from MetaMask, you bring your wallet over in a few steps and get far more security information before every transaction on the integrated networks; our MetaMask review puts the comparison in context.
