Atomic Wallet vs Rabby Wallet Comparison
In our overall rating Rabby Wallet leads with 4.1 out of 5 points, ahead of Atomic Wallet with 3.7. If you care most about features, fees, and stability, Rabby Wallet has the better sub-scores, and the two are level in the other areas.
Cost comparison
Atomic Wallet is free, with no account and no subscription. Costs arise when you send (network fee) and when you swap. For swaps, the help article (as of 2023) cites a markup, while the product page for the Cosmos wallet speaks of zero Atomic fees; what counts is the amount the app shows before you confirm. Swaps also earn cashback in AWC, Atomic's token.
| Action | Cost at Atomic Wallet |
|---|---|
| Download and use the wallet | free, no account |
| Send and receive crypto | no Atomic fee, network fee only |
| Swap in the app | according to the help article (as of 2023) 0.5% plus the swap partner's commission, according to the Cosmos wallet product page zero Atomic fees; the estimate before the swap counts, plus AWC cashback |
| Buy with a bank card | purchase fee as quoted in the app |
| Staking | network fee for the transfer to your staking address, rewards vary by network |
How to save: if the markup from the help article applies, 0.5% on a 1,000 euro swap costs 5 euros, plus the partner's commission and the network fee. Compare the amount shown with the market price before you confirm. Larger moves are often cheaper on an exchange with a published fee schedule from our exchange comparison.
Tax: in many countries a swap is a disposal, and staking rewards can count as income. A tool from our crypto tax software comparison keeps the records.
Security: keep the twelve words offline, as described in our guide to storing a seed phrase safely, and move larger holdings to a device from our hardware wallet comparison. More wallets are compared in our software wallet comparison.
As of 27 October 2026 according to atomicwallet.io, the help article on fees (updated 11 September 2023), the statement on 3 June 2023 (updated 12 September 2023) and Elliptic’s analysis of 2 August 2023.
Rabby is free, with no account and no subscription. For every transaction you pay the network's gas fee. For swaps and bridges in the app, Rabby states its fee in the help center, and it is already included in the quote shown.
| Action | Cost at Rabby |
|---|---|
| Download and use the wallet | free, no account |
| Send crypto | network gas fee |
| Swap in the app | 0.25% Rabby fee, included in the quote, plus gas |
| Swaps between the listed stablecoins or between ETH and the listed ETH DeFi tokens on the same chain | 0% Rabby fee (as of 21 July 2026), gas still applies |
| Bridge between networks | 0.25% Rabby fee, included in the quote, plus gas and bridge fees |
How to save: on a 1,000 euro swap, 2.50 euros go to Rabby, plus gas. Between listed stablecoins such as USDT and USDC on the same chain the Rabby fee disappears entirely. Because Rabby approves only the amount needed, you also save revoking later and the gas that costs. Larger purchases with euros go through an exchange from our exchange comparison.
Tax: in many countries a swap is a disposal and can be taxable. A tool from our crypto tax software comparison keeps the records.
More security: for larger holdings, connect Rabby to a device from our hardware wallet comparison. How Rabby compares with the best-known EVM wallet is covered in our MetaMask review, more wallets in our software wallet comparison.
As of 27 October 2026 according to the Rabby help center: supported networks and tokens (11 June 2026), Rabby Swap, 0% swap fee pairs (21 July 2026), supported hardware wallets, plus the source code on GitHub.

AI AnalysisFees & Costs
Atomic charges no fee of its own for sending and receiving; only the network fee applies. For swaps, Atomic's help article cites a 0.5% markup plus the swap partner's commission, both included in the estimate before you swap (last updated 11 September 2023); the product page for the Cosmos wallet speaks of zero Atomic fees. What counts is the amount the app shows before you confirm. As of October 2026.
The wallet itself is free; transactions cost the network's gas fee. For swaps and bridges in the app Rabby charges 0.25%, already included in the quote. For the listed tokens this fee is waived on swaps between stablecoins such as USDT, USDC and USDe, and between ETH and ETH DeFi tokens such as WETH, stETH and wstETH on the same chain (as of 21 July 2026). As of October 2026.
Usability & User Experience
Setup needs no account, and the basic features need no identity check: set a password, back up twelve recovery words, done. Desktop versions are available for Windows 10 and 11, macOS, Ubuntu, Debian and Fedora, plus apps for iOS and Android. In the German App Store Atomic Wallet is rated 4.4 out of 5 (855 ratings), on Google Play 4.3 (72,300 reviews, 1 million+ downloads), retrieved on 27 October 2026. As of October 2026.
Rabby is above all a browser extension for Chrome, Brave and Edge, with desktop apps for macOS and Windows and mobile apps for iOS and Android. The biggest convenience: on the integrated networks Rabby switches to the network a dApp needs by itself, so you never add or switch networks by hand. Coming from MetaMask, you bring your existing wallet over in a few steps via seed phrase, private key or hardware wallet; your tokens, NFTs and staking positions stay unaffected. In the German App Store the mobile app is rated 3.6 out of 5 (229 ratings), on Google Play 4.7 (7,670 reviews, 500,000+ downloads), retrieved on 27 October 2026. As of October 2026.
Features & Offering
According to Atomic, the wallet manages 1,000+ coins and tokens, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP, Solana and Monero, plus NFTs. In the app you swap coins and receive cashback in Atomic's own token AWC, buy with a bank card and stake ETH, ADA, BNB, SOL, TRX, NEAR, XTZ, HBAR and more. Keys and the twelve words are stored encrypted on your device. As of October 2026.
Rabby supports all EVM-compatible networks, 80+ of them natively integrated; you can add others as custom networks. On the integrated networks Rabby offers a portfolio view, shows before every transaction how your balance will change, warns about risky signatures and lets you manage and revoke smart-contract approvals right in the wallet. In the app you swap and bridge tokens, and perpetual contracts are integrated too. The extension supports eleven hardware wallets: Ledger, Trezor, GridPlus, OneKey, Keystone, NGRAVE ZERO, BitBox02, CoolWallet, AirGap Vault, imToken and imKey. The mobile app supports four: Ledger, Trezor, Keystone and OneKey. Rabby does not support Bitcoin, Solana or Tron. As of October 2026.
Stability & Security
The wallet is run by Atomic Protocol Systems OÜ in Estonia; its CEO is Konstantin Gladych, also co-founder of Changelly. On 3 June 2023 users reported funds leaving their Atomic addresses. In its statement Atomic said fewer than 0.1 percent of users were affected and no new cases had been reported since 3 June; as of its update of 12 September 2023, the statement names no final cause. On 2 August 2023 the analytics firm Elliptic put the losses reported by users at more than 100 million US dollars and attributed the incident to North Korea's Lazarus Group. As of October 2026.
Rabby comes from the team behind DeBank; the apps are published by Opcode Labs Pte. Ltd. in Singapore. The source code of the browser extension is open on GitHub, and the extension was audited by two security firms in 2025: SlowMist (report dated 21 August 2025) and Least Authority (report dated 3 September 2025). Rabby approves swaps only for the amount needed instead of unlimited, which reduces the risk from old approvals. As of October 2026.
Customer Support
Support is available around the clock via live chat and email, backed by a knowledge base and a YouTube channel with guides. As with any self-custody wallet, support cannot replace lost recovery words, because Atomic has no access to your wallet. As of October 2026.
Help is available through the help center at support.rabby.io with guides on setup, moving from MetaMask, hardware wallets and security, plus Discord and a dedicated bug bounty contact for security reports. As of October 2026.

Verdict
In our overall rating Rabby Wallet leads with 4.1 against 3.7 for Atomic Wallet.
For most investors Rabby Wallet is therefore the better choice.
Atomic Wallet suits anyone who wants to hold many different coins in one app: 1,000+ coins and tokens including Monero, swaps, purchases and staking, on desktop and mobile, without an account and, for the basic features, without verification.
The June 2023 incident is part of the assessment. According to Elliptic, the losses reported by users exceeded 100 million US dollars; Atomic itself speaks of fewer than 0.1 percent of users affected, and as of its update of 12 September 2023 the statement names no final cause. That clearly lowers our stability score.
Our recommendation: Atomic works well for everyday use with many small holdings and for coins other wallets do not list. Larger amounts belong on a hardware wallet as well, and before every swap it pays to check the amount shown.
Rabby is the best choice for anyone who regularly uses DeFi applications on Ethereum and the EVM networks. On the integrated networks, the simulation before every transaction shows in plain terms what it does to your balance, and with approvals and unknown contracts that is real protection. Automatic network switching makes everyday use across several layer-2 networks much smoother.
The scope is clear: Rabby is an EVM-only wallet. If you want to hold Bitcoin, Solana or Tron, you need a second wallet for them.
For swaps and bridges Rabby states its fee clearly: 0.25%, zero on the listed stablecoin and ETH pairs on the same chain. Switching from MetaMask, you bring your wallet over in a few steps and get far more security information before every transaction on the integrated networks; our MetaMask review puts the comparison in context.
