Rabby Wallet vs Trust Wallet Comparison
Rabby Wallet and Trust Wallet are practically level in our overall rating, 4.1 to 4.0 out of 5 points. If you care most about usability, Trust Wallet has the better sub-score, and the two are level in the other areas.
Cost comparison
Rabby is free, with no account and no subscription. For every transaction you pay the network's gas fee. For swaps and bridges in the app, Rabby states its fee in the help center, and it is already included in the quote shown.
| Action | Cost at Rabby |
|---|---|
| Download and use the wallet | free, no account |
| Send crypto | network gas fee |
| Swap in the app | 0.25% Rabby fee, included in the quote, plus gas |
| Swaps between the listed stablecoins or between ETH and the listed ETH DeFi tokens on the same chain | 0% Rabby fee (as of 21 July 2026), gas still applies |
| Bridge between networks | 0.25% Rabby fee, included in the quote, plus gas and bridge fees |
How to save: on a 1,000 euro swap, 2.50 euros go to Rabby, plus gas. Between listed stablecoins such as USDT and USDC on the same chain the Rabby fee disappears entirely. Because Rabby approves only the amount needed, you also save revoking later and the gas that costs. Larger purchases with euros go through an exchange from our exchange comparison.
Tax: in many countries a swap is a disposal and can be taxable. A tool from our crypto tax software comparison keeps the records.
More security: for larger holdings, connect Rabby to a device from our hardware wallet comparison. How Rabby compares with the best-known EVM wallet is covered in our MetaMask review, more wallets in our software wallet comparison.
As of 27 October 2026 according to the Rabby help center: supported networks and tokens (11 June 2026), Rabby Swap, 0% swap fee pairs (21 July 2026), supported hardware wallets, plus the source code on GitHub.
Trust Wallet itself is free: no account, no account or subscription fee. Costs only arise with transactions, and the app shows them before you confirm. For swaps in the app, Trust Wallet charges 0.7% according to its own figures, already included in the quoted rate.
| Transaction | Cost at Trust Wallet |
|---|---|
| Downloading and using the wallet | free |
| Sending and receiving crypto | only the network fee of the respective blockchain |
| Swap in the app | 0.7% Trust Wallet fee in the rate, plus network fee and any swap provider fees |
| Swaps between selected stablecoins on the same chain (except Ethereum) | 0% Trust Wallet fee since 27 August 2026, network fee still applies |
| Swaps of selected staked and wrapped tokens on Ethereum, Solana and BNB Chain | 0% Trust Wallet fee since 16 September 2026 |
| Buying crypto via partners such as MoonPay or Ramp | partner fee: often 0.5 to 1.5% by bank transfer, 2.5 to 4% by credit card or Apple Pay |
| Staking | no Trust Wallet fee, rewards vary by network |
| Trust Wallet Premium, Silver and Gold tiers | 10 or 20% off the swap fee (time-limited), network fees paid in TWT 20 to 50% cheaper |
How to save: On a EUR 1,000 swap, EUR 7 goes to Trust Wallet, plus the network fee. Swaps between stablecoins on the same chain carry no Trust Wallet fee. When buying, compare the partner quotes in the app: by bank transfer EUR 1,000 often costs EUR 5 to 15, by card EUR 25 to 40. Our Trust Wallet setup guide shows how to set up the wallet securely; we compare other wallets in our software wallet comparison.

The five areas head to head
AI AnalysisFees & Costs
The wallet itself is free; transactions cost the network's gas fee. For swaps and bridges in the app Rabby charges 0.25%, already included in the quote. For the listed tokens this fee is waived on swaps between stablecoins such as USDT, USDC and USDe, and between ETH and ETH DeFi tokens such as WETH, stETH and wstETH on the same chain (as of 21 July 2026). As of October 2026.
The wallet is free; network fees go to the respective blockchain. For swaps in the app, Trust Wallet charges 0.7%, included in the quoted rate; selected stablecoin pairs on the same chain can be swapped without this fee. When buying through partners such as MoonPay, their fee applies, and the app shows it before you confirm. As of October 2026.
Usability & User Experience
Rabby is above all a browser extension for Chrome, Brave and Edge, with desktop apps for macOS and Windows and mobile apps for iOS and Android. The biggest convenience: on the integrated networks Rabby switches to the network a dApp needs by itself, so you never add or switch networks by hand. Coming from MetaMask, you bring your existing wallet over in a few steps via seed phrase, private key or hardware wallet; your tokens, NFTs and staking positions stay unaffected. In the German App Store the mobile app is rated 3.6 out of 5 (229 ratings), on Google Play 4.7 (7,670 reviews, 500,000+ downloads), retrieved on 27 October 2026. As of October 2026.
The app is among the most beginner-friendly in this comparison: setup in minutes, clear navigation, no account needed. On desktop the extension's functionality falls off noticeably. As of October 2026.
Features & Offering
Rabby supports all EVM-compatible networks, 80+ of them natively integrated; you can add others as custom networks. On the integrated networks Rabby offers a portfolio view, shows before every transaction how your balance will change, warns about risky signatures and lets you manage and revoke smart-contract approvals right in the wallet. In the app you swap and bridge tokens, and perpetual contracts are integrated too. The extension supports eleven hardware wallets: Ledger, Trezor, GridPlus, OneKey, Keystone, NGRAVE ZERO, BitBox02, CoolWallet, AirGap Vault, imToken and imKey. The mobile app supports four: Ledger, Trezor, Keystone and OneKey. Rabby does not support Bitcoin, Solana or Tron. As of October 2026.
More than 100 blockchain networks with millions of tokens are supported, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana and the major EVM chains. NFT management, staking of selected coins, built-in access to decentralised applications, perpetual futures through integrated providers, biometric and PIN unlock and a security scanner that checks transactions before you confirm round this out. As of October 2026.
Stability & Security
Rabby comes from the team behind DeBank; the apps are published by Opcode Labs Pte. Ltd. in Singapore. The source code of the browser extension is open on GitHub, and the extension was audited by two security firms in 2025: SlowMist (report dated 21 August 2025) and Least Authority (report dated 3 September 2025). Rabby approves swaps only for the amount needed instead of unlimited, which reduces the risk from old approvals. As of October 2026.

Verdict
Both providers are practically level in our overall rating (4.1 to 4.0).
Rabby is the best choice for anyone who regularly uses DeFi applications on Ethereum and the EVM networks. On the integrated networks, the simulation before every transaction shows in plain terms what it does to your balance, and with approvals and unknown contracts that is real protection. Automatic network switching makes everyday use across several layer-2 networks much smoother.
The scope is clear: Rabby is an EVM-only wallet. If you want to hold Bitcoin, Solana or Tron, you need a second wallet for them.
For swaps and bridges Rabby states its fee clearly: 0.25%, zero on the listed stablecoin and ETH pairs on the same chain. Switching from MetaMask, you bring your wallet over in a few steps and get far more security information before every transaction on the integrated networks; our MetaMask review puts the comparison in context.
Trust Wallet is the most approachable of the major software wallets. The design is built consistently around the smartphone, setup takes a few minutes and no account is required. With more than 100 supported networks it covers more chains than most competitors, including Bitcoin, which sets it apart from pure EVM wallets.
One thing to know: Trust Wallet has belonged to Binance since 2018. That does not change self-custody: keys stay on the user's device and the code is open source. It does remain a concentration question when exchange and wallet come from the same house.
Desktop use is weaker: the browser extension does not match the mobile app in functionality. And as with any self-custody setup there is no deposit protection and no counterparty if the recovery phrase is lost, while support is reported to be slow when needed.
