Geist Mainnet Launches: A New Era for Aavegotchi and Blockchain Gaming

After years of development, Geist Mainnet, a project from Aavegotchi, launched on October 31. Geist aims to deliver an optimized, sub-second latency experience to facilitate seamless on-chain interactions for gaming. Designed to operate on Arbitrum Orbit with settlement on Base, Geist combines fast transaction times and low fees. This launch is celebrated by minting "MAINNET," the first in Geist’s art collection titled Geist Milestones, available to members who bridge their GHST tokens to Geist through the Arbitrum Bridge.

Transition to Geist: A Major Migration

Aavegotchi’s longstanding presence on Polygon is transitioning to Geist, with migration expected to start in November. This migration involves significant aspects of the Aavegotchi ecosystem, including GHST, Alchemica, GLTR tokens, NFTs, wearables, and more. Notable updates include the integration of the Aavegotchi Baazaar marketplace with trading support on both Polygon and Geist, offering a bridge between the platforms. While some activities, like Portal opening and FAKE Gotchi minting, will temporarily remain on Polygon, they will eventually shift to Geist.
