From now on it will be possible to pay directly to Amazon via the Lightning Network with Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies such as Litecoin or Ether.
MOON MAKES IT POSSIBLE
Made possible by the new payment software ‘Moon‘, which is available as a browser add-on for Chrome, Brave and Opera.
The software detects when a user has arrived at the payment process of the shopping cart and gives him a pop-up window (“Pay with Moon”) the opportunity not to use the usual payment options on Amazon, but just the addon Moon.

Since there is no direct dealer integration and Amazon itself never comes into contact with the BTC, ETH or LTC, the online shop does not have to accept cryptocurrencies directly. Moon simply converts the cryptos into Fiat before sending them to Amazon.
Basically, Moon offers only a simple interface for payment transfers, coupled with an exchange function of cryptocurrencies in Fiat.
Payments also from Coinbase Account
You can link your lighting wallet or even your Coinbase account with Moon and directly output the included cryptocurrencies. The whole thing works, of course, encrypted and without time delay. In addition, the use of Moon is free and costs no fees to its users, as the company earns money by plugging into credit card networks and receiving some of the transaction fees. The merchants pay when they receive payment via Visa or Mastercard.
Since, according to the project’s website, it is planned to use Moon for all e-commerce websites in addition to Amazon by 2020, it is certainly worth keeping an eye on this exciting project and its development from time to time.
