Held at the World Trade Centre in the Catalan city of Barcelona and covering areas such as cryptocurrency and ICO regulation, the benefits, pitfalls and ethics of trustless distributed ledger technology, alternatives to peer arbitration, business applications of blockchain data and much more, the World Ethical Data Forum is an exploration of the ethics surrounding big data and its applications in the modern world.

The World Ethical Data Forum is an exploration of the ethics of Big Data, privacy, and decentralized solutions, all of which are areas that are evolving so quickly that it is difficult for legislation and regulation to keep up. Although existing regulatory and ethical frameworks can be applied to these new areas, this often comes with mixed results as they don’t entirely fit this purpose. Therefore, the forum is designed for attendees to have an open and balanced discussion of these matters without bias

Emergent Properties of New Technologies

The aim of the first World Ethical Data Forum is to bring together experts and enthusiasts from around the world to discuss the moralities, ethical implications, and responsibilities that arise from new technologies. Examples of these innovative ventures include artificially-intelligent systems, decentralized technologies and distributed systems, which routinely make use of our data.

To put things into perspective, the forum will cover the following areas:
