The Swipe debit card is currently supported in the United Kingdom and European Union countries, allowing users in that region to take advantage of the payment facility utilizing both Samsung Pay and Google Pay. This brings Swipe card one step closer to becoming a highly functional crypto debit card. A prominent hurdle in the adoption of crypto-assets is the illiquidity and inability to spend them with ease for everyday stuff, so such debit cards which are funded by cryptocurrencies and contain exchange facility are necessary to drive up adoption and crypto demand.
“We are excited to bring Samsung Pay to our cardholders. This integration and relationship with Samsung will open cryptocurrency adoption and make transactions with our Visa card in Euros converted by crypto seamless. Given the current COVID-19 situation, and people steering away from physical products like cash and in some instances cards, a digital solution really helps put our client’s needs first.”
Joselito Lizarondo, Chief Executive Officer of Swipe
