Amazon Rabbit Hole Patent – Streaming Data Marketplace

Cryptocurrencies and “chain-like” structures are the only distinct references in 11 pages of impressively vague methods to claims of things already happening. The “Streaming Data Marketplace” provides methods for accessing, compiling, re-organizing and combining data, where data defines literally anything herein.

Headlines are boiling the patent down to a Bitcoin tracking service. This is a potential result of processes that might be available if enough source data was provided. The patent notes throughout how the given examples are nothing more than examples:

And that you’re not smart enough to get it anyway.

The phrase “skilled in the art” is used four times in the report. The technology is a stretch as to meeting patent criteria of novelty, useful, nonobvious and an article of manufacture defined herein as: “a computer program accessible from any computer-readable device or storage media.”

Claim

Streaming data – “may refer to data with a substantially constant flow.”

Data store  – “may refer to any device or combination of devices capable of storing, accessing, organizing, and/or retrieving data, which may include any combination and number of data servers, relational databases, object oriented databases, simple web storage systems, cloud storage systems, data storage devices, data warehouses, flat files, and data storage configuration in any centralized, distributed, or clustered environment.

…so when cabbages have RFID tags on them?

The Rabbit Hole

IoT (Internet of Things) – Data will be capable of representing anything or becoming the virtual computer that quantifies anything. This streaming concept combined with the stream of patented ambiguity left to those “skilled in the art,” opens the door for a Marketing place that can be anything and everything

The report also highlights virtual machines – Amazon Web Services recently released templates for building on the Ethereum Blockchain. Subsequent Ethereum-Amazon-built blockchains could begin the pool for this Data Streaming Marketplace.

But out of this block of buzz-words, non-words and indistinction – Amazon patents poetry (this is actually a quote):

Stream the streaming data
to the customer when the customer
purchases the streaming data
