**Below content does not apply to US users

You are searching for an „all-in-one broker “? Stocks, cryptocurrency, and also CFDs? Maybe eToro could be exactly the right thing for you. The Israeli broker has a platform for buying and selling stocks and cryptocurrencies.

eToro – an overview

eToro is an online broker, based in Tel Aviv, which has a platform, you can also use in many other countries. Besides English, French, and German, eToro is also usable in much more languages. In contrast to other brokers, eToro is not only focused on one asset class. Users can buy cryptocurrencies, stocks, ETFs, and CFDs. The broker offers over 2000 stocks, 250 ETFs, and 160 different cryptocurrencies. The fees are comparatively low.

Fees

How much are you paying, if you’re buying shares with eToro? Nothing! The broker has 0% of fees for trading shares and ETFs. If you are buying cryptocurrencies, it’s a little bit different. You don’t have fixed fees, but you have to pay a high spread. The spread is the difference between the bid and ask price.

Normally, the spread should not be too high. But eToro has a fixed spread for trading cryptocurrencies. For trading Bitcoin, the spread is at 1%, which is not low, but okay. But if you are trading other cryptos, for example, iota, the spread is at 1%, which is extremely high. For holding CFDs overnight, you have to pay an additional „overnight fee“.

Conclusion

All in all is eToro a good broker, that has an advantage because of its huge variety of trading instruments. The advantage for the users is obvious, you have an „all-in-one“-platform, for many different asset classes. For stocks and ETFs, eToro has competitive low fees.
The only disadvantage of the broker is the high spread for trading cryptocurrencies.
Summed up, eToro is a very good platform for investors, which wouldn’t like to focus on only one asset class.
