Altcoins to SELL in May 2024: Risky Levels Reached

The crypto market has witnessed a sharp decline, driving traders to reassess their holdings and identify altcoins to sell amidst short-term market corrections. Bitcoin (BTC) plunged below $63,000, setting a bearish tone that extended to top altcoins. Some notable altcoins are left facing sell pressure.
Solana (SOL)
Solana (SOL) has experienced a 2% drop in the last 24 hours and a 17% decline this month. Despite weekly flows remaining positive, decreased trading volumes by about 12% suggest weakening on-chain activity. This downturn positions Solana as one of the altcoins to sell amid the current market correction.
Polkadot (DOT)
Polkadot (DOT) also recorded a 2% decline in 24 hours, reflecting broader market sentiment. With a 22% monthly outflow, Polkadot has lost recent gains, compelling some traders to view it as an altcoin to sell this week.
Shiba Inu (SHIB)
Shiba Inu (SHIB) surged in popularity resembling Dogecoin but has struggled to sustain growth and resist market fluctuations. While 2021 saw rapid expansion, Shiba Inu token now faces challenges amid reduced interest in dog-themed meme coins.
Bonk (BONK)
Bonk (BONK) emerged during a period of negative market sentiment but failed to secure sustained growth beyond speculative trading. Despite brief peaks aided by market trends, Bonk's limited utility makes it susceptible to downturns.
ApeCoin (APE)
ApeCoin (APE), associated with the Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) NFT project, witnessed a decline due to waning investor interest and internal challenges within the BAYC ecosystem. Despite initial popularity, ApeCoin fell from its peak above $20 to around $1.2 and still struggling there despite some minor adjustments, highlighting its vulnerability in the current market climate.
As the crypto market undergoes a correction phase, investors are advised to exercise caution, particularly with altcoins showing signs of vulnerability. Identifying assets to sell in the short term can help safeguard portfolios against potential losses.
